What an awesome night for the Woodmont Community!  Thanks to Jenny Norris, Matt Evans, Ashley Sexton and Ashley Jenkins for making Hall of Fame night a huge success.
Thankfully we survived when the students rushed the court at the end of the game.
Thanks to Chelsea Semrau, Amanda Wolfram,  WHS NJROTC, The Sarge,  Officer McQuen and Officer Cassell for their help during the games.
Appreciate your loyalty and support more than you could ever imagine!

Wildcat Wrestling

Congratulations to the wrestling team on their wins last night over Westside by a score of 62 to 9 and over TL Hanna by a score of 48 to 24. The wrestling team moves their overall record to 22 wins and 7 losses on the season and they are undefeated in conference play with 6 wins and 0 losses.
The wrestling team will face Hillcrest High School at home on Wednesday, January 28th for the Region 1 - 4A title.  Start time is 6:00 pm.
Congratulations to Junior Hunter Strange on achieving his 100 career win last night. Hunter becomes one of only 6 wrestlers in school history to achieve this feet.
2014 Football Banquet

Greenville County Wrestling Tournament

Congratulations to Senior Donte Bolds and Junior Shemar DeGannes for finishing in 1st place at this past weekend's Greenville County Wrestling Invitational at Berea High School. Donte won the 152 pound weight class and Shemar won the 195 pound weight class.  The accomplishment of both Donte and Shemar mark the first time in two decades that Woodmont has had a Greenville County Champion.
Other placers include Senior David Griffin - 3rd place at 113 pounds, Junior Hunter Strange - 2nd place at 145 pounds, Senior Deondre Durrah - 2nd at 160 pounds, Senior-Kaleb Strange was also 3rd at 182.
The wrestling team finished in 3rd place overall.  

Woodmont Athletic Hall of Fame

Exciting Event for Woodmont High School Athletics!!! On January 30, the Woodmont High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be honoring the 2nd class in the Athletic Hall of Fame during the home basketball game with Greenville High School.  The five inductees in this year’s class (Class of 2014) are Sherry Carter, Donald Crowe, Kristi Kerns Farmer, Gary Moon, and Sam Perry. Please show your pride in our Wildcat Community by participating in this tribute to the legends of Woodmont High School!  The start time for the double-header of games is6:00 pm.  The ceremony will take place during the basketball games.   Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the rich WHS legacy of athletic success both on and off the fields and courts.  We look forward to having you meet our Hall of Fame Inductees and also showing your continued support to both the past and present of WHS!

Wildcat Wrestling Invitational

Congratulations to our wrestling team and staff for a strong second place finish in a field of 13 schools at the Wildcat Invitational.

Lady Wildcat Basketball

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Lady Wildcats defeated Dorman in the finals of the Cavalier Invitational.  Our team is off to a great start!!

Woodmont Boys Basketball Coach - Tim Morris

Congratulations to Coach Tim Morris for his recent selection to represent Woodmont High School as the Head Coach for the North team at the North/South game this year.  Couldn't happen to anyone more deserving!



Congratulations to Annika Jones and Morgan Deaville for being selected to the 2014-15 Region I, AAAA Volleyball team!  Way to go girls!!


Congratulations  to our Girls Cross Country team this past Saturday finishing 15th in the state. The team consisted of Emma DeRoberts, Juliana Jenkins, Jordyn Gilmore, Carly Papier, Alden Risell, Anita Rhodes, Savannah Strickland, and Savannah Walters. They all competed strong for our school.

Emma DeRoberts ran a PR of 18:34 finishing  3RD  in the state and placing her on the All State Team. She has been selected to run on the state team at the southeast regional’s in Charlotte later this month. On the boys side, Colt Griffth ran a PR  16:07 and placing 14th in the state making the All State Team. He also will be competing in the southeast regional’s for the South Carolina Team.

Athletic Hall of Fame

Woodmont High School is proud to announce the Athletic Hall of Fame class for 2015.  The new members are: Sherry Carter, Donald Crowe, Kristi Kerns, Sam Perry, and Gary Moon.  These coaches and athletes will be recognized on Jan 30th at the home basketball game against Greenville.  Congratulations Wildcats!!!

Wildcat Cross Country

Congratulations to the Woodmont Girl’s Cross Country Team on their 6th place finish at the 2014 Class 4A Upper State Finals this past weekend.
The girl’s 6th place finish out of 18 teams was good enough to earn them a trip to the Class 4A State Cross Country Championships in Columbia to be held on Saturday, November 8th.
Members of the girls squad included Emma DeRoberts (9th grade), Juliana Jenkins (8th grade), Anita Rhodes (9th grade), Jordyn Gilmore (11th grade), Alden Risell (7th grade), Carly Papier (9th grade), Savannah Strickland (9th grade).
Freshman Emma DeRoberts finished in 2nd place overall out of 123 runners.
Sophomore Colt Griffith finished 15th overall out of 124 runners in the Boys race to secure an individual spot in the Class 4A Boys Cross Country Championships.

Boys Basketball

Boys Varsity basketball practice will begin Monday November 3rd. Please meet in Coach Morris room (C019) at 4:00 sharp.
Boys JV  basketball practice will begin Wednesday November 5th, please meet in Coach Morris room (C019) at 4:00  sharp.
Boys C-Team basketball practice will begin Thursday November 13th, please meet in Coach Morris room (C019) at 4:00  sharp.  
All boys will need to have a physical from a doctor, and permission signed by their parents before they can participate. This must be done before they are allowed to practice.



Our girls team finished second and only losing by 5 seconds to TL Hanna, this being the highest finish of a girls team in Region 1 4A. 

Our boys team finished 3rd very close to finishing runner up. All did well Saturday.

Emma DeRoberts  won the Region Championship this being her second straight title as Region Champ.

Juliana Jenkins finished 6th overall


Colt Griffith finished Runner up and was only seconds away from 1st.

Next meet is Saturday in the Greenville County meet at Hillcrest.  Start time is 9 a.m.  

Home Football Tickets

Home football tickets will now be available during the week of the game from Wednesday to Friday at Commercial Bank next to Food Lion on Augusta Road. Cost will be $6. Hope this will eliminate the long lines at the stadium.
